Introduction
The Legendary Armaments are nine uniquely powerful weapons scattered across the Lands Between. Collecting all nine unlocks the "Legendary Armaments" achievement/trophy. This guide provides exact locations, stat requirements, scaling values, and optimal use cases for every Legendary Armament.
Important: None of these weapons are missable until you enter NG+. Even after burning the Erdtree, all locations remain accessible.

1. Devourer's Scepter

Location: Two methods to obtain:
- Kill Recusant Bernahl in Limgrave (Warmaster's Shack). He drops it immediately. This locks you out of his questline and the Blasphemous Claw.
- Complete Bernahl's questline through Volcano Manor. He invades you at Crumbling Farum Azula (Beside the Great Bridge Grace area), and drops the weapon then.
Weapon Art: Devourer of Worlds — Massive AoE life-drain attack. Heals 150 HP per enemy hit. Excellent for clearing groups of weak enemies.
Best Use: Strength/Faith hybrid builds. The weapon art is the main draw — use it in areas with multiple enemies (Castle Sol, Farum Azula corridors) for massive healing.
2. Grafted Blade Greatsword

Location: Castle Morne, Weeping Peninsula (southernmost point of Limgrave). Defeat the Leonine Misbegotten boss (HP ~3,800, recommended Level 20+). The sword sits on a throne behind the boss arena.
Weapon Art: Oath of Vengeance — Raises all attributes by +5 and increases poise by 30% for 30 seconds. This is essentially a temporary +40 stat boost (+5 to all 8 stats).
Best Use: Early-game powerhouse for Strength builds. The 40 Strength requirement is steep, but two-handing reduces the effective requirement to 27 (Str x 1.5 when two-handing). The Oath of Vengeance buff stacks with other buffs like Golden Vow. Essential for beating Margit and Godrick at low levels.
3. Sword of Night and Flame

Location: Caria Manor, northwest Liurnia. From the Manor Lower Level Grace, run past the giant hand spiders, drop down to the rooftops, and enter the room with the treasure chest. The sword is in a chest on the top floor, accessible by dropping from the rafters.
Exact path: From the Manor Lower Level Grace, exit right, follow the path, drop down twice onto the castle walls. Turn left and follow the parapet. Jump onto the ladder tower. Climb down, enter the room. The chest is on the lower floor near a ghost.
Weapon Art: Two modes:
- Night Comet Stance → Light Attack: Comet Azur beam (Int scaling). Massive damage at 60+ Int. Costs 22 FP.
- Night Comet Stance → Heavy Attack: Wide fire sweep (Faith scaling). AoE fire damage. Costs 18 FP.
Best Use: Int/Faith hybrid builds. Post-nerf (Patch 1.04), the beam still deals 2,500+ damage at 60/60 Int/Faith with Magic Scorpion Charm. Pump both Int and Faith equally for maximum damage.
4. Ruins Greatsword

Location: Redmane Castle Plaza, Caelid. Defeat the Misbegotten Warrior + Crucible Knight duo boss fight (triggers before the Radahn Festival if you arrive at Redmane Castle early). The sword is the boss reward.
If the Radahn Festival has already started, the duo is replaced. You must either defeat Radahn and return (speak to Jerren to reset the castle), or come back in NG+.
Weapon Art: Wave of Destruction — Slams the ground, sending a linear gravity wave forward. Deals ~1,200+ damage at +10 with 50+ Strength. Massive AoE, staggers most enemies.
Best Use: Pure Strength builds with minimal Intelligence investment. The weapon art trivializes group encounters and NPC invasions. Pair with Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon for +30% weapon art damage.
5. Marais Executioner's Sword

Location: The Shaded Castle, Altus Plateau. Defeat Elemer of the Briar (boss in the castle's inner ward). The castle is directly south of the Altus Plateau minor Erdtree, across the poison swamp.
Weapon Art: Eochaid's Dancing Blade — The sword floats and spins forward, hitting multiple times. Deals physical damage that scales with Arcane. Fully charged at +10 with 60+ Arcane: ~3,000 total damage across all hits.
Best Use: Arcane-focused Str/Arc builds. Pair with Millicent's Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, and Thorny Cracked Tear for massive successive-attack damage stacking. The weapon art's multiple hits quickly trigger the successive-attack talismans to max stacks.
6. Dark Moon Greatsword

Location: Complete Ranni the Witch's questline. The sword is given at the Cathedral of Manus Celes (Moonlight Altar, accessed after defeating Astel and going through the Lake of Rot). After placing the Dark Moon Ring on Ranni's finger beneath the cathedral, she gives you the sword.

Weapon Art: Moonlight Greatsword — Buffs the sword for 60 seconds. While buffed, charged R2 attacks fire a Frost projectile at 0 FP cost. Each projectile deals ~800 magic damage + 35 Frostbite buildup. At +10 with 80 Int: ~1,200 per projectile.
Best Use: Pure Intelligence builds. The buffed charged R2 spam is one of the most FP-efficient and safest boss-killing methods in the game.
7. Bolt of Gransax

Location: Leyndell Royal Capital (MISSABLE — must obtain before burning the Erdtree). The weapon is physically embedded in the giant spear statue in the western part of the capital. From the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace, exit west, go down the elevator, run past the Erdtree Avatar, onto the giant spear. Walk to the tip, pick up the weapon.
Weapon Art: Ancient Lightning Spear — Throw a massive red lightning bolt that travels extreme range, then call down lightning on the impact point. Deals ~1,800-3,000 damage at +10 with 60+ Dex. The projectile has near-infinite range (sniping across the entire capital).
Best Use: Dexterity builds. This is the ultimate sniping weapon. Use it to kill overworld enemies and field bosses from complete safety. Pair with Shard of Alexander, Godfrey Icon, and Lightning Scorpion Charm for maximum damage.
8. Eclipse Shotel

Location: Castle Sol, Mountaintops of the Giants. In the church at the far end of the castle (near the Commander Niall boss fog gate). The weapon is on an altar in the church.
Weapon Art: Death Flare — Buffs the sword, causing attacks to apply Death Blight build-up (10 per hit). Death Blight kills instantly when the bar fills. Also adds fire damage for 30 seconds.
Best Use: PvP focused. Death Blight kills in PvP bypass all resistances. Against PvE, Death Blight only works on Tarnished-type enemies (NPC invaders, NPC duelists). Useless against monsters and bosses, but its Faith scaling Fire damage can serve as a backup.
9. Golden Order Greatsword

Location: Cave of the Forlorn, Consecrated Snowfield. Defeat the Misbegotten Crusader boss at the end of the cave. The cave entrance is in the western cliffs of the Consecrated Snowfield.
To reach the Consecrated Snowfield, you need both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion:
- Left half: Commander Niall (Castle Sol boss drop)
- Right half: Albus the Albinauric (disguised as a pot, Village of the Albinaurics, Liurnia)
Use the Secret Medallion at the Grand Lift of Rold (cycle action to "Hoist Secret Medallion").
Weapon Art: Establish Order — Slams the sword into the ground, creating a golden explosion followed by a wave of light. Deals Holy damage. At +10 with 60 Faith: ~1,800 AoE damage. The follow-up light wave adds additional hits.
Best Use: Pure Faith or Str/Faith builds. The weapon art covers massive area and staggers most enemies. Excellent for Undead-type enemies (instantly destroys skeletons without needing to hit their remains). Less effective against endgame bosses with high Holy resistance (Radagon, Elden Beast).

Achievement triggers: Collecting all 9 unlocks the achievement upon picking up the final weapon. You can store weapons in your chest and still receive the achievement.

- Sword of Night and Flame — Rush to Caria Manor from Liurnia (Level 35-40)
- Ruins Greatsword — Redmane Castle before Radahn Festival (Level 50-55)
