Missable Warning: Critical Path-Locking Items
These 4 achievements can be permanently missed in a playthrough:
1. Bolt of Gransax (Legendary Armament)
Location: Leyndell, Royal Capital — on the giant spear statue near the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace. Becomes inaccessible after defeating Maliketh in Crumbling Farum Azula (Leyndell turns to Ashen Capital). Grab this before completing Farum Azula.
2. Devourer's Scepter (Legendary Armament)
Multiple acquisition methods:
- Kill Recusant Bernahl when he invades you in Farum Azula (near the Beside the Great Bridge Grace)
- OR kill him earlier at Warmaster's Shack (but this locks you out of his questline)
- He drops the scepter in either case
- Missable if you complete Farum Azula without killing his invasion or him
3. Magic Scorpion Charm (Legendary Talisman)
Gained only by progressing Seluvis's questline (Ranni's questline sub-path). Give the Amber Starlight (Altus Plateau) to Seluvis before giving Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade. If you give Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade first, Seluvis dies and the charm is permanently missable. This requires either careful quest ordering or NG+.
4. Frenzied Flame Ending (Lord of Frenzied Flame)
Once you inherit the Frenzied Flame (Three Fingers door, Subterranean Shunning-Grounds), you are locked into the Frenzied Flame ending unless you use Miquella's Needle in Placidusax's arena. This needle also requires completing Millicent's questline (challenging). Plan your ending order carefully.

Playthrough 1: 100% Collection (All Legendary Items + Most Bosses)
This is your main playthrough where you collect everything. Follow the route below to minimize backtracking.
Phase 1: Limgrave & Weeping Peninsula (Level 1-30)
Priority: Get Torrent, Spirit Calling Bell, Whetstone Knife, Roundtable Hold access
- Church of Elleh: Buy Torch, Crafting Kit (Kale). Rest at night — Renna gives Spirit Calling Bell + Lone Wolf Ashes.
- Gatefront Ruins: Grab the Map Fragment from the soldier camp. Grab the Whetstone Knife from the underground chest.
- Rest at Gatefront Grace: Melina takes you to Roundtable Hold. Achievement: Roundtable Hold unlocks.
- Fringefolk Hero's Grave (Stonesword Key required): Navigate the chariot trap. At the end: Erdtree's Favor talisman. Achievement: Erdtree's Favor.

- Redmane Castle: Defeat Starscourge Radahn (Ach: Starscourge Radahn).
- Nokron, Eternal City (meteor opens access): Grab the Fingerslayer Blade. DO NOT give it to Ranni yet (protects Seluvis). Instead:
- Mimic Tear boss: Defeat Mimic Tear (Ach: Mimic Tear). Grab the Mimic Tear Ashes — you'll want this for the rest of the game. Also grab the Black Whetblade nearby.
- Siofra Aqueduct: Defeat Valiant Gargoyles (Ach: Valiant Gargoyles).
- Nokron, Night's Sacred Ground: Grab the Fingerslayer Blade from the chest under the giant skeleton statue.

Phase 4: Altus Plateau & Volcano Manor (Level 80-100)

Phase 7: Miquella's Haligtree & Elphael (Level 125-140)
- Miquella's Haligtree: Navigate the branches. Defeat Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree (Ach: Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree).
- Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree: Push through to the bottom.

Final Tips
- Backup your save before Malekith. This is the single most important checkpoint. If you miss the Bolt of Gransax, you can revert.
- Do Ranni's questline thoroughly. It unlocks 3 legendary items (Dark Moon Greatsword, Ranni's Dark Moon, Black Knife Tiche).
- The Magic Scorpion Charm from Seluvis is the easiest legendary to miss. Do his Amber Starlight task before giving Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade.
